It drives me nuts. What ever happened to having some respect for your language and learning to communicate properly? Today, with the prevalence of texting and online chat, kids have no concept of how to communicate without including numbers in place of words and misspelling everything.

In my day, we took English classes and just about every kid left school with the ability to write intelligently. Now, even those with high school diplomas can barely write their way out of a cardboard box. How do these kids plan on making it out in the work force? I know there are many varieties of English grammar software on the market but surely they don’t think that filtering any mess they throw together through this software is going to produce something intelligible.

It’s a good thing that kids are learning computers. It’s getting to the point where they are going to be helpless without a computer to convert their lingo back into something adults can understand.
